Synopsis
"Virgueritos: 50 años de pasión murguera" traces the history of one of the veteran groups of the Canarian carnival, from its first steps to becoming a cultural landmark for several generations. Through intimate interviews, archival footage, historical performances and present-day moments, the documentary reconstructs five decades of music, humour, hard work and community.
The members of the murga themselves, together with former members, founders and key figures from their journey, share memories, anecdotes, hardships and unforgettable moments that have shaped the identity of Los Virgueritos. Through laughter, nostalgia and emotion, their stories reveal not only the evolution of the group, but also the deep bond they have built with their audience and with the history of Carnival in Tenerife.
